When employees use AI tools with corporate data, sensitive information leaks into AI backends, logs, and vendor chains in ways that enterprise security policies alone cannot prevent — and Dymium argues the only real fix is securing data before it reaches AI at all.
Every enterprise leader I talk to is living the same tension right now. Their teams are moving fast with AI — summarizing documents, writing code, analyzing data, standing up agents to automate the everyday work that used to take hours. And their security and compliance teams are trying to keep up with all of it, often after the fact, often with tools that were never built for how AI actually behaves.

AI adoption inside the enterprise is no longer in question. The vast majority of organizations are already using AI somewhere in their business, and most of the Fortune 500 has generative AI running in daily operations. The real question isn't whether your people will use AI, it's whether you can support them in using it safely, without sensitive data leaking out the side door.
Most tools on the market today address one slice of that problem. A model gateway here. A DLP tool there. Maybe an API monitor bolted on somewhere else. But AI doesn't live in one layer, so protecting one layer was never going to be enough.
Governance Has to Travel With Every Interaction
This is the idea at the center of everything we do at Dymium: unified contextual governance. Security and compliance shouldn't be something you configure once and hope holds up. We designed GhostAI around three simple principles that guide every decision we make:
- Expose Nothing. Sensitive data should never reach a model, a log, or a third party unless it's explicitly permitted to.
- Move Nothing. Data stays where it lives. We bring governance to the data, not the data to the controls.
- Protect Everything. Every layer of the AI stack — models, context, tools, and data (MCTD) — is governed consistently.
That last point matters more than it might seem. GhostAI extends governance across all four layers where enterprise AI actually operates:
Models — Requests route intelligently across hundreds of public and private models based on data sensitivity, with PII and sensitive data tokenized or redacted before anything reaches an external LLM.
Context — Enterprise memory, RAG embeddings, and chat context are secured and monitored, so what an AI system "remembers" is just as governed as what it's asked.
Tools — MCP interactions and API calls are brought into the same unified framework, with a complete audit trail on every call and every piece of data touched.
Data — Policy is enforced at the point of access, in real time, where the data actually lives. Redaction, masking, and tokenization happen before data ever hits the network.
This is what we mean when we say controls should go to the data, not data to the controls. It's governed at the source, built in rather than bolted on, and it's why security teams using GhostAI can enforce policy in minutes instead of months.
From Individual Adoption to Organization-Wide Collaboration
When governance is consistent and invisible to the end user, something changes. Employees, developers, and agents can collaborate on AI without having to think about whether they're stepping outside approved guardrails, because the guardrails are already built into every interaction. Individual AI adoption becomes secure, organization-wide AI collaboration. That's the shift we're trying to enable.
